Since its founding in 1984, Protect Our Earth’s Treasures,(P.O.E.T.), our mission has been to inform and educate the public on the issues of animal exploitation. We are a central-ohio based grass-roots organization working toward improving the lives of animals. We formed after learning about a “tooth-movement” experiment involving cats and improper anesthesia dosages being conducted at OSU. It became clear, as the case unfolded, that research animals in central Ohio, had no advocate. Now they do!

Since that incident our mission has expanded to include activism in all areas of animal use and abuse.
